I’ll be honest, I almost did a backflip when the Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip Paint in Uncensored $24 hit my desk, See, red lipstick is kind of my thing. I own way too many to count. To me, no other shade makes a woman look sexier than a blood red (plus studies show it makes us look younger!). The packaging is really beautiful. It kind of resembles a high end nail polish.
The applicator is also incredibly helpful. As someone who suffers from shaky hand syndrome, I usually have to correct my lipstick with concealer. Not with this one. The curved tip allows for a very precise application.
Now let’s get to the shade. The Fenty Beauty Uncensored Lip Stunna is a gorgeous true bright red matte that I feel would work on everyone. I hear that Rihanna was pretty serious about that and obsessively tested samples until she felt it was perfect. The lippie goes on really creamily, and then you get a good minute before it dries down, so if you mess up, you can fix it in an instant. I doubt you will though because the applicator is just that good. It’s supposed to last twelve hours. I wore it pretty much all day and it is so lightweight that I forgot it was on my lips. You know how after a few hours matte lipsticks can make your lips feel all dry and crinkly and you have to start picking on your lips to take the crust off? That doesn’t happen with this hydrating formula. However, I did notice that when I kissed my mom, I left a red kiss mark on her cheek, and when I ate my burger there were those telltale red bite marks. But, even after all of that, my lips were still full of color—no reapplication necessary. Do you need this red? I think, YES! Fenty Stunna Lip Paint launches in Sephora on Thanksgiving and will cost $24. Will you be picking it up?
